I own an Inspiron 1501 and I wanna upgrade my RAM?

It have 1 GB but i want a 2 GB one.

Do i just hold to put another 1GB one or do i have to put a 2Gb one. Also if you could recount me how to do it.

pretty easy, you can draw from the best price from New Egg or Fry's. I believe the Dells have 2-512s so you might be best buying two 1GB sticks. Anyhow my interconnect gives you illustrate instructions. Take out the battery as resourcefully.
You might be able to purely add another stick of RAM, in that are a set number of slots on your motherboard for RAM, check and see if they are all full. This website is usefull to see how much your computer will suport and if your computer if full
