when i budge to the control panel to delete programs. if you would select the program it use to give you the chance to uninstall the program now that opportunity does not come up . could you please tell me the problem

It is still contained by the control panel on the new Vista installations, if you don't enjoy it on yours you might want to repair it.
If you have a Vista DVD try Startup Repair. If that doesn't work, try SafeMode>System Restore from the Recovery Environment, and you other have the F8 advanced option ( five of them including Last Known Good Configuration) and a repair install (with the DVD) as well.
You are not going to return with that update installed. Period! I worked directly with MS support and they never get it fixed either.
Take updates bad automatic and deselect that one manually. Or You can do what my friends and I have done and turn rotten updates completely.
Use PROGRAMS & FEATURES from Control Panel, then UNINSTALL OR CHANGE PROGRAM
the problem is u don't hold a mac which is hassle free (drag and drop) to delete programs
plus if u need window than you can run both at the same time on a mac u really should switch but look at the microsoft website for give a hand
