I hold a wireless card for my laptop...How does it work?..Do i own to be within one of those wireless hotspots?

or can i purely be sitting anywhere and be on the internet?...

Answer:

You do have to be within range. To see the available services, surrounded by XP (and probably similar in Vista), click Start, Control Panel, Network and Internet Connections.

There should be an choice in in attendance to view your Wireless networks, or something similar to that (I'm not on my laptop right now).
Yo own to be in stock of a wireless router, otherwise known as a wireless hot spot. Many places own them. Some wireless broadcasters are password protected, others are not. It will not just work anywhere.
You hold to be in the capacity of the wireless hotspots.

You can drive around the neighborhood to check the

signals where in that are strong to ascertain your wireless

card is working.

You can either enjoy your own Internet

connection or you can steal from the neighbors.

But when they switch rotten your connection too is disconnected.

Some are fitting neighbors and you can always request

them not to switch bad the Internet power supply.
