I hold a IBM Laptop and the Dvd rewriter have stopped working and accepted wisdom . Not a pro contained by computers?

NOT doing anything it is trying to work i can hear it.

Nine times out of ten, this signals any laser burn out or motor burn out in the element itself. If your laptop has the faculty to remove the drive, then you're within luck and can simply purchase a replacement drive. If not, then you're going to hold to find a service center to do the repair for you. If the laptop is a few years old it's commonly not worth the amount of money it would take to repair the drive since labor for something close to that will kill you. You'll receive charged somewhere between 250 and 300 dollars to repair the drive in lieu of self able to simply purchase a removable drive for nearly 50-70 dollars. If it is a removable drive, there are plenty of places online that you can buy a replacement for cheaper than the 50-70 band if you look carefully.
1. try to amenable the CD drive and after close it again



2. See if the disk is scratched/ dirty



3. Restart the computer



4. make sure the disk is see in MyComputer

FYI :

on laptops , you may haved burned out the laser surrounded by your laptop, after much use
