It's a Dell Inspiron 6000 which my mom bought just about two years ago. When she bought it, though, I don't think she clicked the preference to have a Wi-Fi card; I know I can't access the internet unless I plug contained by an Internet plug. I'm looking for the cheapest Wi-Fi card which works well. Also, near a Wi-Fi card, i can basically latch onto any wireless Internet nouns within a trustworthy radius, right?

You can get a PCMCIA card or a wireless USB adapter. The USB adapter can be have for as little as $20. If you latch on to someone elses wireless signal you will be breakng the law - unless it is a public Wi Fi hotspot or the folks signal is being used near their knowledge. Such crimes are sometimes prosecuted.
